Our Clean Living

A space for stories on parenting, trauma, adoption, and healthy habits that invite trust, courage, and compassionate connections.

While we are gradually making cleaner and healthier choices everyday on products we bring in our home, it didn’t happen overnight. I will share links and small changes we have made that had big impacts on health with smaller impacts on budgets.

A clean, light oak kitchen floor forms the base of the scene, with a small cluster of carefully chosen objects arranged in a loose circle: a plush, folded neutral-toned blanket, a wooden toy block, a simple ceramic candle in soft white, and a small potted plant with rich green leaves in a minimalist clay pot. No people are present, only the traces of family life. Golden hour sunlight slants in from a side window, creating warm highlights along the wood grain and soft, comforting shadows around each item. Photographic realism, shot from directly above in a bird’s-eye view, emphasizes symmetry and gentle order. The mood is tender and protective, evoking parenting, trauma healing, and sacred family moments shared on the kitchen floor.
A spotless, matte-finished tile kitchen floor in pale warm gray fills the frame, with a simple, open Bible lying gently open near a small, well-used leather journal and a pen, all resting directly on the floor. Nearby, a lightly steamed white ceramic mug of herbal tea adds a sense of comfort. Soft morning light streams in from the left, filtered through sheer curtains, casting delicate, diffuse shadows and a calm glow over the scene. Captured from a slightly elevated angle with shallow depth of field, the focus rests on the open pages and journal, while the background cabinets and baseboards fade into a gentle blur. The atmosphere is contemplative, centered on quiet Christian devotion and clean living in a serene, organized kitchen.

Kitchen Floor beginnings

I write from the kitchen floor—where messy days become conversations about life, faith, and the quiet acts that shape our days. Over the years, the moments I was most vulnerable and needed a sacred space have been found on my kitchen floor. I’ve lost count of the number of times young women have graced my kitchen floor carrying the weight of their worlds and looking for a listening ear, therapeutic safety, or just wanting to chat while I cook dinner or care for my family. The kitchen floor has become a sacred space for us all, and I pray you find hope here, too.

Faith and Values

Together we explore practical, hopeful steps toward living with integrity—honoring God, caring for our bodies, and nurturing relationships within our homes.
